The action is fast enough to keep you interested. The hero is a flawed alpha. The blonde is more than eye candy. The villians are not at all nice people. Subplots move along nicely without getting in the way. So put your brain on idle for 90 minutes and let the pretty pictures flash along the screen. Sadly, this 2000s-2010s-era EuropaCorp film, flew under the radar without so much as a mention. While the story is one you've seen before, a falsely accused/ framed convict is sent to rescue the President's daughter from a maximum security prison (this time, in outer space) it's Guy Pierce's charismatic take as the protagonist, Snow, and his witty tit for tat chemistry with co-lead @maggiegrace, playing the first daughter Emilie, that makes this movie so entertaining. Pearce does a decent job, but some of the villains are just cartoonish. Ultimately not a bad film to see again on a Sunday afternoon, but there just isn't much that draws you back. The start is some of the worst CGI out there, but it gets a little better once in space. CG effects were kind of terrible and you could tell it was a low budget film. Story was ok, acting about the same. Not too many actions scene but makes it up with bad CG explosions.
